Library Rules and Regulations

1. An identity card is required to enter the Library.

2. Borrowers’ card is not transferable.

3. It is your responsibility to keep track of items checked out to you.

4. All e-mail addresses/telephone number must be current – we send notice regarding checked out/return items to all                          patrons.

5. Users are charged for lost, damaged materials checked out/lease to them.

6. Lost library cards must be reported to the circulation desk immediately.

7. Unauthorized removal of any library material or equipment from the library will be treated as a punishable offence.

8. Noise making, hard soled footwear and shuffling of feet are disallowed; silence should be observed in the Library.

9. Verbal abuse of library personnel or security service will not be tolerated.

10. Smoking, eating and drinking are not allowed in the Library.

11. All readers leaving the Library with book(s) in their possession will be subjected to checking by an authorized officer at the                 entrance.

12. Briefcases, umbrella and other baggage must be kept outside the library at owner’s risk.

13. Pets must not be taken into the Library.

14. Non-members of Library staff are not allowed into the Library offices except on permission.

15. No reservation of seat in the Library.

16. All mobile phones must be switch off/ put on vibration while in Library.

17. Loss of library material/delay in returning them attracts a fine.

18. The use of flash drives or any external USB drives is prohibited. Purchase C.D. recordable or re-writeable to copy out                           information.

19. Social media like Facebook, YouTube, Yahoo Messenger, etc. are banned site in the e-library.

20. No user is to come into the e-Library with his/her computer system/bag at any given time.

21. A list of online resources can be got from any staff to ease long searches for academic information.

22. On no condition should any user of the e-Library indulge in playing games in the e-library.

23. Removal of seat/table from its original position is not allowed.

24. Users are not allowed to disconnect any system nor charge their phones, laptops, etc.

25. Head set should be requested from any officer to play video and audio file.

26. Be a friend of the library.
